About 50% of all children will at some point go to the doctor with a chest or lung problem. Often symptoms are present for a long time and parents don’t realize that something is wrong. Common symptoms that children get, that may indicate there is a lung problem, include cough, recurrent infections, wheeze, difficulty in sleeping, and severe snoring at night.

Dr Lakhan treats conditions like asthma, allergic rhinitis, recurrent wheeze and infections, gastro-oesophageal reflux, cystic fibrosis and sleep apnoea. She also treats lung problems associated with neurological conditions and Down’s syndrome.
